Everything you need to know about how Minga RUNNER uses your Strava data — what we access, how it's protected, and how
to disconnect at any time.
About Minga RUNNER
Minga RUNNER is a personal training dashboard for
runners. Athletes connect their fitness account to view their own
activities, sleep, heart rate and recovery data in a single place,
and to keep a private backup of their training history.
The Strava integration is read-only and used solely
to display your own activities back to you, the authenticated athlete.
Minga RUNNER never publishes anything to your
Strava feed, never modifies your activities, and never shares your
data with advertisers or third parties.
What we request from Strava
When you click Connect with Strava, you are redirected to
Strava's official authorization page. Minga RUNNER never sees or stores your Strava password — the standard OAuth flow
handles authentication entirely on Strava's side.
We request only these scopes:
read — read your public profile
(name, profile picture, country) so the dashboard can greet you and
link you to your athlete account.
activity:read_all — read the
activities you have recorded (runs, rides, swims, etc.) including
time, distance, pace, heart rate, GPS streams and elevation, so
they can be displayed back to you in your private dashboard.
We do not request activity:write,
profile:write, or any scope that would allow us to post,
edit or delete content on your behalf.
What we do with your Strava data
Show your activities to you in your private dashboard, including maps, charts, splits, laps and personal records.
Compute personal statistics from your own activities — weekly distance, training load trends, average pace, fastest splits.
Allow you to download a personal backup of your own activity history (Excel/CSV export) that you control.
If you explicitly authorize a coach via the in-app coach invitation flow, that coach can view your shared training data through their own authenticated Minga RUNNER account. You can revoke this access at any time from your settings.
What we never do with your Strava data
We never post, edit, comment on or delete any activity on your Strava account. The integration is strictly read-only.
We never display your activity data to other users outside of an athlete-coach relationship that you have explicitly authorized inside the app.
We never sell, rent or share your data with advertisers, data brokers or third parties.
We never use your Strava data to train artificial intelligence or machine learning models. Any analysis we display is generated for you, from your own data, and shown only to you.
We never replicate Strava's social features (no public feeds, leaderboards, comments, kudos, or club functionality).
How to disconnect at any time
You are always in control. To stop sharing your Strava data with
Minga RUNNER, you can do either or both of the
following:
Option 1 — Revoke directly from Strava (recommended)
This immediately invalidates the access token Minga RUNNER holds, regardless of any local app state.
1
Sign in to Strava and go to
Settings → My Apps
(or open the link below directly).
2
Find Minga RUNNER in the list of
authorized applications.
3
Click Revoke Access. Your authorization is
terminated instantly.
To remove all your data from our servers (Strava tokens, dashboard
data, exports, account record), email us using the contact below
with the subject line "Delete my account" from the email
address registered with your Minga RUNNER account.
We respond and confirm deletion within 7 business days.
Privacy & data handling
Your Strava access and refresh tokens are stored encrypted and used only to call the Strava API on your behalf.
All connections to and from Strava use HTTPS / TLS.
Activity data is stored only to render your dashboard and your personal export. We do not aggregate it across users.
We honor Strava's privacy settings — if you mark an activity private on Strava, our refresh syncs respect that.
You can export your data and request deletion at any time (see contact below).
